Fleece cage liners can be used with any type of cages. We recommend to use it as a litter because it provides a more eco-friendly solution. Indeed, it can be washed and re-used many times unlike traditional shavings. In addition, fleece bedding is less messy and smelly.

Our fleece liners exist in 3 format: 3x2, 4x2 and Loft (including the ramp)
They are all available in Cashmere color.

 Dimensions:

  • Fleece cage liner 3x2: 110x73cm
  • Fleece cage liner 4x2: 145x73cm
  • Fleece cage liner Loft: 37x73cm & 18x60cm

Note: dimensions may vary by a few centimeters due to manufacturing tolerances

The thickness of fleece liner is around 2-3cm.

Kit content:

  • 3x2: 2x fleece liners for 3x2 base + 2x fleece liners for loft 2x1(ramp+mezzanine)
  • 4x2: 2x fleece liners for 4x2 base + 2x fleece liners for loft 2x1 (ramp+mezzanine)

Using advice:

Before the first use, the fleece liners should be washed to ensure their absorption characteristics, in the same way as for a towel. Otherwise, your pet might get its paws a bit wet at the beginning.
Usually it takes few washes to fully release its absorption performance.

Care advice:

The washing frequency will depend on the number of piggies, their food (e.g. lots of vegetables rich in water) and surrounding conditions (e.g. temperature, ventilation will influence the daily evaporation of the wee). The main criteria is that the liner does not get too wet on the top surface, so that the paws of your pet remain dry.
Usually, we wash our liners every 3 to 4 days, and we remove the poop every 2 days (we shake the liners above the compost).

For the washing, we recommend to wash the fleece liner at 30°C with a regular washing powder/liquid and a bit of anti-bacterial laundry cleanser to keep your washing machine clean (usually, the laundry cleanser is added to the softner drawer, check its instructions)
You can also use bleaching product for rinsing your washing machine instead of the cleanser (But do not use the bleaching product on the fleece liner! It will permanently damage the colors)
If your piggies have long hair (e.g. Peruvian guinea pigs) or loose their hair, you can dust off or vacuum the liner. It will ease the cleaning.
